Day 4; Welcoming of kids

Hey Guys,
Quick update on how the welcome went... AMAZING!

Jeremy and Will along with Jon (another program guy) did such an awesome job being in character for about three hours straight! They welcomed 9 different areas to camp including 1 capernum group called "The High Rollers".

Now Capernum is completely new to me and I have never experienced having them at camp. If you don't know what that is, it is a group of kids who are special needs or handicapped. When their vans pulled up and the doors started flying open, I was in absolute tears! Three high school boys with down syndrome ran out of their vans onto the stage area and started dancing their buns off! Another kid who is not able to walk, speak or control his limbs actually leapt out of one of the vans into the arms of Sean McGever, the camp speaker! He luckily caught him and greeted the kid telling him how happy we are to have him here. Even though their were no words spoken from this kid, the look on his face and the shaking of his body in McGevers arms showed how incredibly excited he was!!! I could not contain myself! I had to actually walk away to stop crying and catch my breath!

God is already doing so much in this place and is going to change these 450 kids lives this week, I know it! Please be praying for them and for all of us.

Love you all!
*Kayla
