Week 19
So, after talking myself into the baby being a GIRL, we very clearly were shown that was not the case! One of the first images the tech takes on the Ultrasound was of a very vivid little PENIS! :o) Before the tech could say anything, Jeremy just starts laughing and I just say, “Oh my gosh!!!” She then hit the button that says “It’s a BOY!” with an arrow pointing to his man parts!
The funniest part of this US was that we take another look at the genitles and babies hand is RIGHT next to his ‘bing bong’ and then he begins to play with it!!! This was absolutely hilarious but it continued to get funnier. A few different positions and pictures later, the tech gets to a good profile shot where we find baby SUCKING HIS THUMB of the same hand that was just playing with himself!!! Ha ha ha! What have I got myself into!?!?!
It took me a few hours to really process that we were now having a precious baby boy and not our precious little Myla Mae that I had been planning for. I realized that I had not even begun to think of things for a boy and have no names really picked out! This really made me feel bad and realize I was assuming things waaay to early!
Week 15-18
Throughout these three or so weeks, I did a lot! I had my birthday, Jeremy’s graduation party to plan and throw, Young Life was super busy getting ready for camp and then going to camp and just a lot of stress going on all around me. I tried really hard to keep everything together and not let anyone or anything push me over the edge for mine and babies sake. I felt like I could have an emotional breakdown at anytime. However, I really surprised myself and pulled everything off that I needed too!
Jeremy graduating from UNM was such a huge accomplishment! I am so proud of him and all his hard work and know that he stuck with it and did great for me and for the baby! He is the most amazing Husband and works so hard for this little perfect family of ours.
After the party went off without a hitch, we then got ready for camp! I was not sure how I would do at camp with my own cabin and 10 girls to keep up with! It turned out to be so much fun and a great way to possibly end camping for a few years! My girls LOVED my belly and would lay by my bed every night touching it and trying to feel the baby move. A few of them felt the little kicks that I have now started feeling at night and a few others just took bets on BOY or GIRL! We would soon find out the next Monday!

14 week update
Hi hi. So we had an ultrasound a few weeks ago at what we thought was 13 weeks. But according to the size of the baby on the US I was only 12 weeks at that time. So my due date was changed from Oct. 28th to Nov. 6th.
This ultrasound was sooo cool! Baby actually looks like a baby rather than a mouse and s/he was all over the place! The US tech was getting a bit frustrated becaue the baby wouldn't roll over and show us a side profile or a front view, but eventually she rolled over! It was the coolest thing being able to watch her just move around and hiccup! The tech said she (or he) is dramatic because she kept putting her hands over hers eyes and ears! Sooo cool! Jer and I got to watch Baby on the screen for almost an hour and got to listen to the wonderful sound of the heartbeat in the background!
Something VERY unofficial that was kinda cool was that both of the tech's said that their guess on the sex of the baby was GIRL, but of course it was too early to confirm. So we will see what they decide on June 7th!!! We will love a boy or girl, I just have a feeling that it is a girl!
At my dr. apt the next week Dr. Dandade said everything looked great and baby is keeping a steady heartbeat right around the 160's. He also told us that all the blood tests for down syndrom came back completely normal which is a blessing!
I have been feeling really really good! My belly has lost some of its bloaty-ness and so my pooch is mostly down by my belly button. And somehow for the first time in years I have 2 abs showing at the top of my tummy!! Ha ha! I think everything must just be pulling it down! :o)
Anywho, ill keep everyone updated and will let you know how the next Apt. goes!

First Prenatal visit
Doc says everything looks good and to continue doing what I am doing! So prayers for a continued healthy pregnancy and baby would be great!!!
So I guess my blog is annoying???....
Hey! You have to look at this "preggers" blog on here! I thought only Mormon Mommy's were this annoying!
Attached to the comment was a link to my blog! Wow!
I thought this was sooo rude! I do not know her and have no idea how she even came across my blog. I am pregnant and am enjoying sharing this exciting time in my life with all of my family friends close to home and far away!
So the reason I am telling you this is because I am not pressuring anyone into reading what I have to say. I only do it for the people who are truely interested in my life. I will not be offended if you don't want to read anything I have to say, but why be hateful and rude when this is my life and I am excited about it. I love looking at my friends blogs and knowing how they are! I would never bash someone for expressing their excitement. But I will bash someone when they are bitchy to me...
That is my little rant. So enjoy my blog if you follow it! If you don't, no problem! And if you (creepily) follow my blog but find me annoying, keep it to yourself. I don't care about you.

When we told our families about Baby!
On Tuesday when I was pretty sure I was pregnant! I was at my aunt Dawns house with Mom and Mimi and it was the hardest thing for me to keep my mouth shut! At this point I still had not verbally talked about being pregnant. Only through text message. I tell Mom and Mimi everything and wanted to just blurt out, “I’M PREGNANT!!” but didn’t. . .
A few hours later back at work, Johanna got home and plopped down on the computer while I was filing papers. . . I had to say it out loud! So I say, “So, guess what!?” Johanna replied, “Your pregnant.” in a very monotone voice. I turn to her and say, “This time I really am!” she was soo excited and it felt so good to tell someone about this experience!
After going to see Dr. Fontana on Wednesday morning and her confirming, we decided on the rundown of telling family. I decided to put this adorable poem that I loved in a frame for my Mom and Dad and then give it to the other grandparents we would be seeing that night.
Stop 1: Grandma Tammie & Grandpa Clinton:
They were out by the horse pen with Milton while he was shoeing Snip. I walked up and said that I had their late Valentines present and they had to open it together! They open the box, pull out the frame and begin to read the poem. . It felt like forever before they said anything! Finally Dad turns around and says, “Are you seriouse! Seriously! Seriously!” and tears swelled up in both their eyes! We then begin laughing saying Milton is out of the loop. He promptly stands up and says, “Name him Milton!” This was a wonderful moment to share with my parents (and Milton!)
Stop 2: Starbucks to see Uncle Coon-Coon:
We went to Starbucks and drove through the drive-thru holding up a sign that said, “Hi Uncle Coon-Coon to-be!” He was really excited!
Stop 3: Granny Debs:
We got to Debbies and she was already relaxed for the evening. We sit down on the couch and Jer begins normal conversation. Then out of no where he says, “So we are making you old!” And she replies, “I am already old! Oh crap! Your pregnant!” and covers her face! she then begins to laugh and excitedly congradulates us!
Stop 4: Uncle Tom, Aunt “Sis” and the cousins house:
We walk in the door and Bella greats us with, “Don’t look at me! I’m naked!” and hides. Jer then says, “So we’re pregnant!” and Tom yells , “NO WAY!” and Tiff says, “really?” and walks into her room and shuts the door! HA HA! She came righ tback out but it was a funny moment! While we were there we called Joey on speaker phone.
Phone call to Uncle Joey:
Joey answers and is at dinner with friends. Jeremy asks if he is busy and then tells him he is going to be an uncle! Joey had the best reaction out of anyone! He literally said, “Oh my God, no way!” and “Congradulations Jer!” in about 6 different tones, 73 times! It was awesome hearing his excitement without actually being able to see him when we told him. We definitely felt the love all the way from Denver!
Stop 5: Great Mimi & Papas:
We walk into the house and like normal give hugsand stand around the kitchen. Then I pull the poem out and say, “Read this outloud Mimi!” Papa immediately looks at me and give me his classic “fist in the face” gesture and smiles from ear to ear! While Mimi was reading Papa was hugging me and beginning to let loose a couple of tears. They were so excited and are pumped to be first time GREAT Mimi and Papa!
Phone Calls to GREAT Aunts and Uncles:
We called all of my aunts and uncles while at Mimi & Papas and told them all that we were making them OLD by becoming first time GREAT aunts and uncles! They were all so excited! However, each Uncle brought up the fact that my due date is in the middle of hunting season and Jer is screwed for atleast 6 years, till he can miss a birthday party!
Stop 6: Grandpa Joe-Joes and Tammy’s:
Poor Tammy was robbed at work again on this night and was physically and emotionally drained when she got home from work. We were sitting there listening to what had happened and felt bad about having happy news to tell. So in a silent moment of bummed out conversation Jer tells them they are gonna be grandparents again! Tammy jumps up and starts yelling and laughing and is so excited! Joe gives us both big hugs and congradulates us!
Stop 7: HOME! Auntie Amber met us there:
Amber had been onto us all day about where we were and why we missed Young Life. We told her to come over because we needed to talk to her about something and NO it wasn’t that I was preggo. So she came over and sat on the couch , seeming suspicious. Jeremy sits there very serious and then says, “Your guess was right about Kayla being prego.” Amber gets a huge smile on her face and tells us Congradulations a hundred times! She also was there to watch me open my very first Baby Gift from Adam and Jenna!
What an exciting and exhausting night it was telling our family abou tthe amazing little miracle that is on its way!!!
When we found out about Baby!
Late Monday, February 22nd, we did not know if we were pregnant or not but thought we might as well take a test. I go and take the test and was not paying much attention to it and then realize, “JER! I THINK I SEE A LINE!” Jeremy rushes into the bathroom and says, “I don’t see anything. I don’t think there is a line there. . .” After about 20 minutes of wondering and being excited, but trying not to get our hopes up, we decide to go to bed.
The next morning, Jeremy gets up for work and I wake up to go take the second test. I am completely out of it (as I always am in the mornings) and take the test but think that it is negative. I headed back to bed. Jeremy then begins to say, “Babe, there is a line there! Its a real line!” I tell him not to get my hopes up and he kisses me good-bye as he heads out for work. I wake up about an hour later and go back into the bathroom and realize, “HOLY COW! It really IS a REAL line!” At this moment, I am freaking out/excited/have no idea what to do next! So what better to do than text your faithful God friend, Abigail! I tell Abbey . . . So, I am 4 days late and have two faint lines in front of me! She texts back saying, “A line is a line! Your pregnant!!!”
After wanting to talk to Jeremy all day and us both having to be excited away from eachother, I go to Abbey’s to chat and take a third test! She and I were acting like kids again awaiting the pink line to appear. . . “There it is! Your pregnant!!” Yahoooo! This was the point where I knew for sure I was! I went home and celebrated being pregnant with Jeremy over Burger Kind and excited laughter!
